CELPIP Writing Practice
100 CELPIP Writing prompt sets covering both official tasks, each scored by AI against the same four dimensions official raters use: content and coherence, vocabulary, readability, and task fulfilment. You get a CLB level plus the specific sentences holding you back.
Both tasks, with the real time limits
- Task 1 — Writing an Email (27 minutes, 150–200 words): respond to a situation such as a complaint, request, or apology. Tone must match the recipient, and every bullet point in the prompt has to be addressed.
- Task 2 — Responding to Survey Questions (26 minutes, 150–200 words): choose one of two options and defend it. Committing to one side and supporting it beats weighing both.
What the word range really means
Stay inside 150–200 words. Going under signals incomplete task fulfilment; going over rarely adds marks and usually adds errors. Around 175–185 words is the safe target.
At CLB 7–9, structure matters more than vocabulary. Use a proven template, then let AI scoring show you exactly which sentences cost you marks. Model answers at CLB 7, 9, and 11 let you compare your writing to each level.
